i know this guy who has genital herpes and i was telling my mom and my sister about it and we got in a debate about weither or not someone with genital herpes means they also have and can spread herpes in their mouth. i know people can get herpes in the mouth but just cuz you have genital herpes doesnt mean you always have it in your mouth, right?

Genital herpes and oral herpes are supposedly unrelated. But I wouldn’t have oral sex with someone with genital herpes, and I wouldn’t kiss someone with oral herpes.

it possible for people with herpes to spread it at any time. Then again its a chance they may never spread it. Dr’s do not say it but its all in how you manage your herpes and take care of yourself…. Also, its most contagious when the virus is active (during an outbreak).

I have had genital herpes for 6 years and I have never, in my life, had a cold sore (oral herpes), so it’s possible to have one and not the other!

Just because a person has genital herpes doesn’t mean they automatically have cold sores.

Herpes simplex viruses (human herpesviruses 1 and 2) commonly cause recurrent infection affecting the skin, mouth, lips, eyes, and genitals. Common severe infections include encephalitis, meningitis, neonatal herpes, and, in immunocompromised patients, disseminated infection. Mucocutaneous infections cause clusters of small painful vesicles on an erythematous base. Diagnosis is clinical; laboratory confirmation by culture, PCR, direct immunofluorescence, or serology can be performed. Treatment is symptomatic; antiviral therapy with acyclovir, valacyclovir, or famciclovir is helpful for severe infections and, if begun early, in recurrent or primary infections.
Please see the web pages for more details on Herpes simplex.

people do this because they don’t want to follow the bible or they don’t know the truth of God’s word. they also don’t want to give up there life. they are fulfilling the lust of the flesh. i want to encourage anyone who is trying to live holy but is thinking that they are missing out on something. you’re not missing out on anything. i’ve messed up twice and i felt to disgusting, like a piece of trash.SEX IS FOR MARRIAGE.

Correct, just because you have it in one place doesn’t mean you have to have it in both but it you are having an outbreak in one place it is possible to spread it to other places on your body!

  7. Smiley says:

It is a virus that you carry forever, but you may or may not have the herpe pimples. The virus can lay dormant. You cant have relations while the person has an outbreak because you can pass it that way. I think genital herpes and oral herpes are a different type, but you CAN get Genital herpes by giving oral sex, in your mouth!
